A little odd experience that rubbed me the wrong way.. Now you must understand that I've had a very fond relationship with the cookie munchers for the last decade having a few friends whom have worked there. I think they have great gelatos, muffins, and coffee. (Thankfully they ditched the espresso automachine) But it all comes down to the service you received on your very last visit, doesn't it? And in this case it's almost as if the girl went out of her way to give us a negative impression. On walking up to the counter we were asked what we wanted, I inquired with my friend standing next to me and then proceeded to order "2 shots of espresso". When one cup was placed on the counter I was puzzled for a second then realized they mistook my order for one double shot. When I inquired if this happened to be the case another cup was placed on the counter and for a split second I thought, well that was a nice way to counter the mistake, with a separate shot of espresso, 3 for 2, but no it was just an empty cup. That was the first odd step for I would have thought they would have split it for us, especially considering it wasn't busy. No worries, just a weak move. As we started to leave the manager turned to me and said that I should have specified I wanted two shots of espresso in two separate cups. "What?" I'm sorry, if I wanted a double shot I would have said so and it wasn't if we were grumbling. I said 2 shots, see Ive never had this confused when I've walked up to the bar with the same friend and ordered two shots of Beam. What started as a simple mistake, they turned into a weak correction and then a rude counter argument. WTF? Next time I want a shot or two of espresso I'm going to bypass the Paradise Bakery for a friendlier cafe found around every other block.

A very great place to snack and eat after your wonderful dinner! All the ice creams I've tried were wonderful (butter pecan, cookies 'n cream, peanut butter cookies 'n cream). The cookies are fantastic and the service is very friendly! I've came here twice in the past 4 days, a very nice location and atmosphere.

If you're in the mood for some after-dinner decadence, Paradise Bakery will not disappoint. My favorites are their Black Diamond cookies and their super rich brownies, but others swear by their ice cream and gelato. After grabbing your loot, see if you can find a seat outside to enjoy the live outdoor music while you eat.
