What are you Craving?

“Craving is thrilled to announce the opening of Aspen’s newest gourmet vendor that serves local and natural food at the Aspen Farmers Market.

Inspired by the Farmers Market commitment toward local and natural foods and products which promote and improve the community as a whole, Craving serves a variety of concession food, most of which is found only in Colorado.  Craving’s primary suppliers include Homestead Ranch of Paonia, High Wire Ranch of Hotchkiss and Aspen’s own Louis Swiss Bakery.  Boulder Chips are also offered to help create delicious meal solutions. To top it all off, The Gant’s executive chef has created an array of delicious desserts to satisfy every sweet tooth.  To drink, try Hansen’s Natural Soda or our other beverage selections.

Most appealing of all are the extremely affordable prices.  Sausages start off at only $4.00 with all drinks, desserts, and chips costing no more than $1.50.  Those looking for a complete meal can enjoy additional savings with Craving’s Ajax Special or Powder Day Special.

At first glance, Craving can be described as a New York City street cart disguised by a European façade, infused with an Aspen twist and antique flare.  Craving is the newest addition to the Aspen Farmers Market promoting both established vendors at the market who previously had no avenue to serve their products and various other local or natural food producers throughout Colorado.

Arriving in Aspen last summer, Nicholas Sutcliffe was a new graduate from Kansas State University who came to Aspen to enjoy the splendor and natural beauty of Colorado.  Obtaining a position at the Gant, he quickly realized a need for an alternative, quality, yet inexpensive dining option in this impressive mountain town.  Through working with a close friend and now general partner Adam Arredondo, the two began what is now Craving.

Based out of Aspen, Craving will be serving markets, events, and festivals in the entire Roaring Fork Valley with high quality, local, and natural concession food creating an entirely new concept and buzz for the area.”
